To support Latina women break the barriers of the stigma regarding mental health in the Latino culture. We will go over subjects such as codependency, trauma, emotional regulation, and breaking the cycle. We hope this supportive group will be of benefit to all those Latina women wanting to make a difference.
Have you found yourself struggling being your authentic self due to the fear of going against your culture’s views? No matter your ethnicity, this group is meant to provide support for those that struggle finding the balance of our parent’s cultures, and trying to live an American life. We will go over subjects such as codependency, trauma, emotional regulation, and breaking the cycle.
At times, we may feel misunderstood and struggle to communicate our feelings effectively. For those with autism or ADHD, this can be a regular struggle as emotional regulation and understanding social cues, such as body language, is often lacking. Connection with others becomes increasingly difficult when we are not aware of our own emotions and fail to understand others’ feelings. Sadly, this can keep us from connecting socially and lead to isolation. Through our Social Skills Group, we will focus on emotional regulation, role play, and social cue identification to help overcome these obstacles. We will even have planned outings to practice your new skills to help you flourish into a social butterfly.
Let’s work together to manage your situation better. Call us now to schedule an appointment.
